Yup, our newest little one, Leon, has finally made his entrance into the world. ^-^

Leon was born friday, June 19th at 1:53PM, and wieghed in at 9lbs 2ounces, and 20 inches long. And as he just woke up demanding to be fed, I have to cut this journal short!

Leon was born Friday, June 19th of 2009 as 1:53PM. He weighed in at 8lbs 2 ounces, and 20 inches long. He's still a big baby, but he seems so tiny compared to his brother's birth stats of 9lbs 2 ounce, and 21 inches. Leon is doing just great, really. He's taken to nursing beautifully and has no issues with it. MY only issue with it is that he's a little TOO good at it, and nurses quite a bit MORE than is the 'normal' for a newborn his age. It makes for a sore mommy...but it ALSO makes for mommy's milk coming in a week sooner than is average/normal, too. And that, at least, is a very good thing.

He's also a really good little sleeper...the only issue there being that it's during the day that he sleeps well...at night he eats a lot. *laughs* Now to just get that switched around!

He was born with a full head of dark hair (seriously, it was black the first 2-ish days) that is slowly fading out to more of a dark brown. Now the only question is, will it fade out completely to blond like his big brother did, or will he stay more with his daddy's current brown? Right now he reminds my father, sister, and I of my grandmother. He has her nose, and makes the same faces when upset that she used to. It's nice to see her in him, even if that only lasts through these first few weeks while his head re-shapes itself as the pieces of his skull slide back into their proper places. It makes me miss her in a good way.

He's also a total little cuddle bug and LOVES to be held. Because of this I'm getting better at typing one handed...or with him laying on my arm/wrist while I type with both hands, and so have limited range of motion with the one.

Big brother is adjusting, and doing so much better now that mommy and baby Leon are at home with him, instead of being at Nana's away from him. And I have to admit, I'm doing better now that I'm home with Nicolai again, and he and I can do our daily routines again, like feeding the fish, or spending an hour in the evening with my dad when he gets home, or just sitting in the front room together watching and talking about his shows. He's a lot happier and so am I.

So all in all, as a family we're doing really well with our new little addition, and as individuals, we're all happy and doing well now that we're back together. ^-^
